Hello! Thanks for a great program. I use it daily at work. One feature that would make my life a lot easier is to be able add a non-public phone book, in my case the phone book for the company I work for.

Kind of the same way as you add new search engines to Firefox or IE.

@F14 TOMCAT: Which phone and MPE-Version you are using ?
@Gast: non-public Phonebook ? I don't think it makes sense - maybe 1% of the users would need it, thats not much enought.

First of all, this software is really great, it's really helpful for me, every day Smile

Small proposition, i don't know if it was proposed already, i haven't found in "search".

It is already possible to change the phone profile (normal, work, car, etc.) from MyPhoneExplorer.
Would it be possible to have some advanced option, which would set the mode/profile in which the phone will be, as soon as MyPhoneExplorer is plugged, and eventually restoring previous mode when disconnecting (i mean disconnecting on a clean way, unplugging violently, for sure MyPhoneExplorer can't do that Razz

).

Typically, when i use MyPhoneExplorer, it's great to have notifications on computer, and i would like my phone to remain silent, then, no sound, no vibrating. I changed my "work" profile in this objective. I still have to change it manually each time i plug or unplug, and of course i forget sometimes.
So, ideally, it would be great to plug it, MyPhoneExplorer would connect, change phone mode to this "silent" automatically Wink

I don't know if this is something which would be useful to many people, but in my opinion, it would be the continuity of what makes MyPhoneExplorer great : when it's on, i don't feel like having a "physical" phone anymore, it's plugged, i forget it, and my computer becomes the phone Very Happy

There were already discussions about it. The most users just unplug the phone and in some cases the normal user would not see that the profile has not changed back. If its so importnat for you then you could start MyPhoneExplorer with commandline so the profile got set. http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?p=135#135

Nothing really "so" important, though, just something like this.. I haven't thought about a command line option, haven't seen that in faq earlier. Thanks for your answer Wink

having the ability to set the default reminder time on tasks that are imported from Google Calendar would be nice.

MPE uses the reminder which is set in Google

I would really really love to be able to sync with googl calendars tasks as well as the calendar in itself.

There is currently no API for Google-Tasks. PLease use the forum-search the next time

@David: Just downloaded and installed the Java SDK from SE - alot of stuff. I hooked "Connection proxy" so i could see whats going on in background. The connection proxy uses another Interface to the phone via SLIP-Protocol. The transport-layer is not the problem, but there is another Layer above SLIP which is undocumented. I hoped it would be easier, maybe throught a special OBEX-Mode but that is not the case. Since this interface is completly undocumented i don't think makes sense to implement it. I think you have to live with the confirmations.

Hi, FJ! I too wanna express my gratitude for the amazing piece of software you're writing! Smile

I have some questions and suggestions for improvement:

When trying to send a message a warning sign saying "Memory full" pops up if that's the case. What I don't understand is why the Send button changes to Close when returning to the New message window. It's extremely irritating when you have written a long text message and accidentally click on Close.
This would be ok if you added a warning sign informing me that I'm about to close this window, where after which I have to confirm closing the window or to abort the action.
A problem I've started having is that all the messages in the sent box in my phone that are not sent from the computer don't have any time or date. It says: "No indication". Why is this? I'm using my W810i right now while my W580i is in for repair. Can't recall if I had this problem with the W580i too. What can be the cause?
After synchronizing my messages, some of them are broken in the phone. I don't know why. It can have something to do with me editing the time and date on the unindicated sent messages...?
Sometimes when recieving a message while I'm writing a message, the New message window is minimized. The same happens everytime when sending a message while writing a new one. When the first message is sent the New message window is minimized. Extremely irritating. Fix?
And why can't I use other functions in MPE while sending a message? Every week I send a text message to 72 people in one shot and this takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. I'd appreciate the possibility to use MPE's other functions while sending it.
Are you planning to develop support for MMS messages?

Thanks for in new update resolved this problems.

One little bug:

I am using enter for sending messages via chat. but now if i press enter, it makes a new line and then send message.

hi thanks for this great piece of software. I have just found it and have been experimenting with it.
I have a feature I hope you can implement. I would like to be able to hang up the phone using MPe. (I use MPE to dial). The reason is IM disabled and cannot use my hand (I control the computer using VoiceCommands) and when checking voicemail the phone does not hang up by itself for quite a long time.

Hopefully, this is an easy task.
