Hey,
Thank you for the update in MPE 1.7.3 adding support for contact pictures, it's much appreciated. After 3 years of using the program I decided to donate .
I was wondering though if it's possible to get MPE to sync the contact pictures to Outlook when it syncs contacts?
Thanks,
Simsie |

If the phone supports syncing the contactpictures (=if you see contactpictures in MPE) then they get also synced to outlook. But its not possible to compare the pictures so it works with some restrictions:
- if only the picture has changed then the contact will not be synced from/to Outlook
- if MPE writes a contact to Outlook then the picture will be always transfered.
- in the other direction MPE can read also the picture from outlook, but it will be set in MPE/Phone only if there is no picture selected for the contact (cause the pic in Outlook is very small and it doesn't look good in the phone) |

Its not possible cause Google does not provide an API to the Google-Owned picturestorage. |

But how Microsoft ActiveSync on windows mobile based devices does this during syncronization with server m.google.com (same Microsoft Exchange server)? The wey must be similar. |

No - Google has a complete different API to Microsoft.
If you don't believe it -> check out the API yourself, its all documented and can be read from everyone. |

I do not argue. And Your word is enough for me. Just I have a WM device and it syncs contacts with photos. So I assumed that it was similar.
Many thanks, in any case. |

Hey - you are right. I checked the API a few weeks ago. At this time it was possible to READ phontos from Google but not to upload new photos to google. I will see if i can implement it... |

That would be so cool!
Let's just hope Google does their part and makes Gmail sync contact-picture with picasa |

OK, contactpics will be synced in v1.7.4 with google. I could not see the pictures in GMail, but i think this is a common issue in Google. The API and the up/download works. |

Hi
I have contact pictures for most of contacts in Outlook 2003.
When I synchronize my K750 with Outlook, I can not get any of pictures with the contacts to my phone. What is the most convenient way to join pictures to the belonging contact in my situation?
Thanks. |
