I had a big problem with the My Phone Explorer in version 1.7.5 !
Once I connected it to my Sony Ericsson K608i it simply erased the BIOS of the device. Handy just lights the display and do nothing more. Bringing it to the service, they said me, there were not only the Firmware in the handy, but it has fully damaged, the base BIOS in the chip were erased in the device. The cost of repairement were 20 Euro (Czech republic, Brno), but it's an old device. The serviceman adviced me yet, I have to to use just the original Sony Ericsson Software for the SE handy synchronization & communication with the PC and I must believe him. I used just yours "My Phone Explorer 1.7.5" for PC-Handy transfers, so Ver. 1.7.5 must send to handy some strange controlling codes what made this fatal reset of the phone. I used yours software for the communication with PC for few years and in the previous versions I have any problem. It's a pity, yours soft was not bad at all, but I will uninstall it due to this fatal accident. |

MyPhoneExplorer never does any critical actions and it has also no access to the BIOS of the phone. Your serviceman searched an easy explanation without knowing the backgrounds.
Its your decition to use MPE or not, but you would be the first user of hundret thousands which was able to damage the phone with MyPhoneExplorer. |

@jurofun:
If you would watch tv while it crashes, could it be you would blame the
tv station or channel for the crash?
I also use MPE (nearly) from beginning it exists, like many of thousands others.
I've tested it very intensive and it's much more better thrustworthy
than the PC-Suite.
There are many other things that could be happened, like demaged cable, over voltage or something else.
Would not be rude, but maybe changing your serviceman would be the
better way than changing the software.
Best regards... |

I too, would say that it is impossible to crash a SE phone in that way.
Since it's a new member stating it, it might a case of bad mouthing or a troll.
MPE is one of the absolut best products I've ever used. |
