hi FJ!
Firstly, I have to congratulate you on an extraordinary piece of software. It is both comprehensive and robust (certainly compared to HTC Sync, which has just got worse and worse, over the last year or two).
I've just put a custom ROM (dGB - very nice btw - my first experience with AOSP) onto my HTC Desire, which means HTC Sync doesn't work (because of a lack of HTC Sense).
So, I was reminded to try My Phone Explorer as a substitute. It has been indispensable in getting my phone working properly!!! It allowed me to properly import my SMS store and also get all 5 years worth of appointments onto my phone (HTC Sync now only syncs 1 year).
The only problem is that the Notes field of my Outlook Appointments (I'm running Outlook XP) is being shortened / truncated. This is a problem, since I use my notes field to store business notes, document business calls, etc.
Just to be clear, on the android side of things, the field is called "Event Description".
So, the question is:
Can I make the field size bigger?
I'm doubtful because presumably this would make Phone Explorer's appointment db store bigger and syncs would be slower I.e. there must be a reason why you decided to set field sizes at a certain level.
However, I have read in the forum that you've been making a lot of changes to syncing with Outlook , so maybe you've changed the field sizes too?
The odd thing is that, if I count the number of characters (with spaces) used, the value differs between truncated records. For example, one appointment notes field contains 1994 characters. Another contains 1961. Both cannot accept more characters though.
I really hope you can help me out here!
Many thanks in advance,
Gary

The field limit was set to 2000 characters (new line takes two characters) and in the next version it will be increased to 10000 chars
