Greetings! I have just installed MPE 1.8.2 on Windows 7 32-bit. I have applied the Visual Basic 6 controls update, installed MPE as Administrator and even run MPE as Administrator. No luck. NOTE: During installation, I did decline to install the toolbar and reg cleaner, is that OK?
The full error message is:
Run-time error '372':
Failed to load control 'SMS' from . Your version of may be outdated.
Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided
with your application.
Thanks for any help you can provide to resolve this problem.

I installed MPE on my desktop computer (Windows 7 64-bit) and MPE does NOT get the run-time error. I was able to connect to my Galaxy Note from tat system. Unfortunately, that is not the system I need to use for syncing with Outlook.
So, I'm still looking for a way to troubleshoot and resolve this run-time error 372 problem.

Its a install problem, maybe you had not enought permissions during setup. Launch the setup with Admin permissions. |

Hi, there. I just ran the installer "As Admin" and got the same results. It seems that some OCX file is not registered? Is there some log I can produce that will help isolate this problem further?

Launch this test application. If it does not start then you'll get a better message which file does cause the problem |

I had the very same problem. MyPhoneExplorer did run fine once, later it showed this error message. It did not matter whether I started MPE as restricted user or admin.
I tried the test program - here is the result:

Component 'richtx32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I even did a search on my hard disk: No richtx32.ocx was found at all!
A quick check of the MPE installer showed that richtx32.ocx is contained in the installation. I thus tried a re-install and voilá - MPE works fine again!
I have no idea how richtx32.ocx got lost on my system ....
