Good afternoon.
I have looked at using the new multi sync for documents and I am confused about the required settings to sync both ways.
I don't sync all my pc documents, just one folder within MyDocuments folder with subfolders and documents. My phone is now an HTC OneX and it seems to duplicate the file path that is on the main computer with the exception that it does not use the subfolders, just files the documents.
The Multi sync docs settings window on MPE has a box for the name (?) and then 2 boxes for the source and destination files. If I click sync both ways, what information has to go in what boxes for the system to get the sync correct in both directions.
I could not find any help in FAQ on doc or multi sync settings.
Does the sync use the most recently updated file as the one to use (sounds obvious but I have been caught out by assuming before)?
I have previous liked HTC windows sync program but their android sync is not as good as MPE so I am sticking with MPE, so pleased you now have sync both ways and anxious to use it.
PS what does adding a poll question do?
Thanks Rhonda
multi sync documents settings
Maybe it would be helpfully to see a screencapture of your current settingsI don't sync all my pc documents, just one folder within MyDocuments folder with subfolders and documents. The labels "Source" and "Target" are taken from earlier versions where no bidirectional sync was available. In case of bidirectional sync the PC is always source and the phone is target. But the sync is bidirectional so the labels are not optimal. The Multi sync docs settings window on MPE has a box for the name (?) and then 2 boxes for the source and destination files. If I click sync both ways, what information has to go in what boxes for the system to get the sync correct in both directions.
Correct, MyPhoneExplorer does compare the last edited timestamp and also the file size.Does the sync use the most recently updated file as the one to use (sounds obvious but I have been caught out by assuming before)?
