I just upgraded to Microsoft Outlook 2013 but did not realize that MPE was not "officially" compatible with the 2013 version.
I did just find this online, which I have to say, made me a bit nervous.
Zitat: | As of December 2012, MPE does not support Outlook 2013 in the officially released version. You must download the unproven beta test version of MPE to sync with Outlook 2013. However, there are some who have noted difficulties with the 64 bit version of Outlook 2013 and the beta of MyPhoneExplorer.
I will leave you with a HUGE warning when installing MPE. As a computer technician, I often find computers infected with malware and other unwanted software that is unwittingly installed by the owners. The following review was posted at CNET in reference to MPE and gives a HUGE warning to heed when installing MPE.
The software installer for the windows side of my phone explorer is loaded with malware including Babylon toolbar. I missed the little check box embedded in the yada yada text and the install over wrote my home page, default search options and put over 70 updates in my registry.
Software also installs "InfoAtoms" which puts link on webpages you view and "BabylonObjectInstaller" which redirects webpage links....Using this software is like playing with a hand grenade, use with extreme caution.
While MyPhoneExplorer itself is safe to use, the installation program can install software that in my opinion is dangerous and foul. You must be very careful when installing MPE and deselect the boxes that will otherwise cause the installer to put possibly dangerous extra software on your system. As the reviewer said, it is like playing with a hand grenade. Understand why such a nice program can be offered for free - you pay in the end by allowing others to invade your privacy and redirect your searches. That is why I prefer programs like CompanionLink which you pay for, but do not install dangerous software on your system. |
Is this still the case? Is anyone successfully using MPE with Outlook 2013?
Thanks!

Not sure if this is a stupid question or if no one bothers to check the English section of this help forum?
I love this program but a Help Forum is supposed to help, especially when there is not a customer service number or other way to contact anyone within the company.
Frustrating.... |

I'm afraid not...I've been waiting for replies to my Outlook 13 problems for ages, with no response.
My experiences with the beta is that it works pretty much OK. It doesn't store photos in the right place, and hunting them down isn't easy, but the rest seems to work fine. I'm using 32 bit Office as everyone online says the 64 is unnecessary. |

With current beta version of MPE, Outlook 2013 should be supported also.

Do I need to uninstall the non-Beta version I have first?
Also, I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit with Office 365. Is this fine?
Thanks! |

I just installed it and it is working beautifully! Thank you so much. I was a bit nervous, as some people had posted that they had problems with the beta and using Outlook 2013 but so far, so good.
I love your program and have nothing but praise for it. I just wish the support forum (for English) was a little quicker in response or there was a support line to call.
Either way, thank you! The program is great and I will tell others that are looking for a hassle-free way to sync with Outlook! |

That's what happened with me. You need to install the Beta of MPE, and then you will be fine with Outlook 2013. |
