Hallo FJ,
Zunächst DANKE für dein Produkt. Ich habe selbstverständlich überwiesen  )
Folgendes:
Ich benutze Galaxy S II mit Android 4.0.3 und synchronisiere mit Outlook.
Die Kontakt-Fotos werden vom Handy nur dann übernommen, wenn ich auch noch eine Änderung bei den Kontaktdaten vornehme.
Vlt. ist das nur ein Klax ;o)

Hallo,
Kontaktbilder werden nicht automatisch ausgelesen und verglichen - somit entsteht auch keine reine Kontaktbild Synchronisation.
Wie schon bemerkt, muss vorher ein anderes Feld geändert werden. Das ist ganz normal!

Sorry, I only speak English and Russian, will try english here.
I did not get any responce in the English section of this Forum for a few days now. Contact syncronisatoin does not include contact images. Why not? Also, maybe related, photos are not synched, software error says cant find photo folder on the phone. See more details in English section.
Can someone please reply?

Thax for your reply. No,that does not work. Even adding a new contact in Outlook still only transfers all the text info, no image.
Can you please tell me one thing? Is the function of contact image transfer direclty linked to transfer of photos? neither of these work.

Wow, you are absolutly correct. When i manually changed an image in MPE, it syncronised with Droid phone. So, seems the problem is between MPE and Outlook. I am usingn Window XP with Outlook 2010. Anything i can do to figure out why MPE does not get images from Outlook contacts?

With you suggestion, i believe i have figured out the problem with contact images not syncronising.
In Outlook, i manually changed the photo of a contact to a jpeg file in my pictures folder. when i syncronised this worked fine.
The difference between this and all of my other contact images is that they were not added manually. i have hundreds of contacts whos image was syncronised from www.linkedin.com or www.facebook.com. Looking into this further, Outlook saves such contacts differently then if you select an image manually. There is no jpeg file available of synced contacts, it is embedded into the VCF or some other file format. In my previous phone, a Blackberry, this syncronised with Outlook without any problems. So, i suspect that there is a way to get these images without having a descrete file in a folder. Can you please look into this? changing hundreds of images manually is not an option.

Hi, my mobile is Motorola Droid Razr, model XT912
the MPE client is 1.0.19 beta 10
However, i believe that the problem is NOT in communication between Adroid client and MPE windows app. The problem is in understanding Outlook contact image format. Please look at my post more carefully.

I did explain the whole topic very often in the forum. I am tired to repeat it again and again:
- the photo is not compared cause of technical restrictions
- if there is a photo in the phone AND also in Outlook then MPE will NOT transfer the photo from Outlook to the phone cause Outlook does shrink the photos down to a very small resolution. So it would destroy your high quality phone photos if MPE would always overwrite it |

You seem to be very frustrated, that’s too bad.
But the cause of your frustration is not my request for contact images but rather your lack of solution for this problem. Here are some facts:
- There is nothing you can do about people desiring to sync their contact photos. It is high on everyone’s list of priorities for maintaining contacts.
- Your forum does not have a reasonable explanation of this problem. There are many scattered posts which are hard to find and fragmented in their reasoning. If you are having a high number of posts, then just do a STICKY about this topic (logical)
- Your logic for not allowing syncing of contact images because they don’t look good on the phone is an arbitrary judgment. I would bet that many users would rather have low resolution images instead of NOTHING. Why not give them the option?
- You do not offer a reasonable solution to the problem. Users with 1000+ contact images are not going to use your manual edit in MPE approach. This has to be automated.

I would have been better served given a clear explanation in the forum about your decision NOT to support contact image sync. But, I am not frustrated, I like your software and in good faith, I am writing this email to appeal to your logic.
Finally, back to your frustration. I believe that as long as you do not address the facts I stated above, more and more people will be posting on this topic and you will continue to be frustrated.
I hope for a resolution and look forward to continued use of your software.

You are not right. If there is no photo set in the phone then MyPhoneExplorer will push the photo from Outlook on the phone. No matter how small or pixelized it is.
I clarified all technical details about this issue already in the forum, currently i did also not find the thread (maybe cause there are so much new posts about this topic). The logic is the same since 6 Years - nobody cared about it, and now since about 1 year this should be the biggest problem ? I do not understand it |

I also got problems with outlook 2007 photo synch.
Everything is ok, but no photos from outlook are synch with MyPhone
My only solution to this is manually edit, and hit sync with outlook ("load contact picture from outlook"), but doing this to 400 contacts is quite a pain.
Is there any more automated solution to this?
Photos with numbers are quite important these days  All of my new contacts are made with photos in the single "hallo, can I take your number and photo?" sentence  |
