Any chance the ability to delete SMS messages from phone via the app is in the works? Currently it is not possible to delete messages unless you first manually delete them from the phone.

I got it to work but you have to set MPE as the default SMS app. But then you lose all functionality of the phone's SMS app.
SMS Delete vs Google App Permission

If my understanding is right current situation is :
SMS and call logs can not be deleted from MyPhoneExplorer PC App.
And reason is Google have stopped access to as per
https://support.google.com/googleplay/a ... d=1#zippy=
However, if my understanding is correct, its (google) is giving an option to get permission from it by submitting some form etc.
"..
. If your app requests the use of high-risk or sensitive permissions (for example, SMS or Call Log), you may be required to complete the Permissions Declaration Form and receive approval from Google Play..."
Google Link

So my query is, if FJ oftware / myphonexplorer have applied for such permssion earlier ?
And if yes, then can we know the result.
And if its not applied, then is there any plan to apply ?
Regards.

@Rabh
The link
Use 'SMS' or 'Call log' authorization group you provide clearly describes why it is not approved:
"
The main functions are defined as the essential purpose of the app. This can include a number of important features, all of which need to be highlighted in the app's description. Without these important functions, the app would be 'broken' or unusable"
Without the SMS delete function, MPE is definitely not useless
Workaround:
How Ull! already wrote, see

FJ wrote elsewhere "so its no more possible for an app to hold the permission for sending messages and initiating calls ***and*** also to have write access to the sms database and call log for the same app." (* are added)
So why not to write a separate 2nd phone app that also works with the FJ's PC app but only deletes SMS on the phone:
1) does not send and make calls but
2) can write to sms database - so we can delete SMS from PC
@FJ am I missing something here?

@Flip Flop
You have 2 alternatives:
1. You delete the SMS in the mobile phone
or
2. You install the old MPE client as described in the article:

Everything has now been said on this topic....

Dear,
I agree with you, the old MPE client can do this operation : delete SMS from the myphoneexplorer PC software.
However, about MMS, I can't. Do I something wrong?
I have used the 1.0.48 version.
Moreover, I tried to suppress the older SMS (more than 450 days by example) with QKSMS. Apparently, in the QKSMS interface, the older SMS were deleted. But, the MPE always sees them after a new synchronization.
I guess that the native sms database (android) is not modified due to the google policy from 2018.
with the best
P.S. : sorry, the solution with ACR makes me a little bit circumspect. Does this software manage SMS and MMS from a date manner selection (from the smartphone)?

This is correct. MMS support was added to MyPhoneExplorer one year after the write limitation did take effect. So it makes no sense to implement features for only a handful users which are using the inofficial beta.
