Is the 'sync direction' for contacts, calendar and notes always 'phone to PC', or is there a Setting for that?
I see that for 'file-sync' jobs (I understand that refers only to syncing of files, not contacts, calendar and notes), but did not find any such -- or did I get that wrong?
Sync direction
Re: Sync direction
MPE first determines whether there are any differences between the data records on the phone and those in MPE.
Then MPE can recognize whether a change has occurred in MPE:
1. Yes => Transfer MPE > Phone
2. No => Transfer Phone > MPE
When a data record is changed in both MPE and the phone, the transfer always occurs from MPE > Phone!
Look => Synchronization direction for "MyPhoneExplorer Only" Sync
If a third program such as Outlook or Thunderbird is integrated into the sync, it is possible to define the synchronization direction (MPE <> 3rd program) as with file syncing.
Then MPE can recognize whether a change has occurred in MPE:
1. Yes => Transfer MPE > Phone
2. No => Transfer Phone > MPE
When a data record is changed in both MPE and the phone, the transfer always occurs from MPE > Phone!

Thanks for the reply and, especially, for the link to a previous similar detailed discussion:
Thanks once more for your help!
I'll use it to hopefully learn exactly what should be done in each situation -- and, if I still have any doubts, will ask again about it.Look => Synchronization direction for "MyPhoneExplorer Only" Sync
